FASHION’S NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK

The up and coming stars of the fashion world give Gaschette a peek in to what makes them shine

Imagination Architect

Colin O’Mara Davis is an all-in-one creative machine – director, producer, editor, art director, stylist and anything else you’d like him to be. His passion is for taking your mind to new places and for sensing trends before anyone realizes they are phenomenons. After working with this one man wonder on our latest global sensation, Bride of Zion, I wanted to catch up with Colin and find out exactly what makes his incredible mind tick.

Job Title:

Imagination Architect. It’s hard to explain and sounds super poncy, but basically it means to dream something up and finding ways to build it.

 What is your current obsession:

Fembots, Diamonds, Mars, Polygons, particles and chromatic aberration.

What do you love most about what you do:

The finishing touches. It’s something that often goes unnoticed: like picture grading, or lighting in post production, or ambient effects — but I think it’s the difference between a memorable picture/film and one that just falls flat.

 Who inspires you:

Right now, it’s Barbarella and Flash Gordon.

What are you listening to right now:

“Gossamer” by Passion Pit, “Valtari” by Sigur Rós, the self-titled album by Penguin Prison and “Port of Morrow” by The Shins

Where do you see yourself in 5 years:
Packing for a one-way manned mission to Mars. Or Earth II if someone can just figure out how to make a wormhole already.
